Royals beat Raiders 42-13, 2-0 in district

Jeremy Thompson rushed for 173 yards and four touchdowns to lead the Mason County Royals to a 42-13 district win over the East Carter Raiders Friday night. Thompson scored Mason County's first four touchdowns. Neal Pawsat completed 13 of 19 passes for 137 yards. Mason County (3-1 overall and 2-0 in district play) had 425 total yards including 288 rushing. East Carter (0-4 and 0-1) had 311 total yards (289 rushing and 22 passing). Mason County plays at West Carter next week. Here is the scoring summary:

Notes: Jeremy Thompson moved past Matt Gilbert into third place on Mason County's career rushing yards list (1,893). Thompson moved past Shane Fletcher and Bryan Sweet and into a fifth place tie with Harry Lewis on the Royals' career rushing touchdown list (23).
Jessica Batey moved past Michael Parker into second place on the school's career extra points list (55), and she is tied with Parker for second place in career kicking points (58).
