Mason County assistant football coach Larry Harris will be inducted into the Paris Greyhound Hall of Fame next week. Harris was a star running back and linebacker at Paris High School. Longtime Paris statistician Eugene "Puck" Puckett says Harris carried the team on both offense and defense his senior year (1987). Puckett says no other player has carried a team on both sides of the ball in all the years he's followed Paris. The Greyhounds advanced to the state semifinals in 1987. Harris went on to play at Western Kentucky University. The Hall of Fame induction will take place on Sept. 5 when Paris hosts Bellevue. Harris will not be able to attend because Mason County plays at Boone County that night.
