Chris Morris Wins Chippeways

Last year Chris Morris was the Chippeways runnerup. This year he is the Chippeways champion. Morris defeated Drew Traxel 1-up in the championship match today at the Maysville County Club. Morris was 3-up through six holes. Traxel was able to cut the deficit to 1-down three times, but Morris answered each time. It's the eighth straight year a member of the Maysville Country Club has won the tournament. It's the third time Drew Traxel has been the runnerup. In the semifinals earlier in the day, Morris defeated Robert Walton, and Traxel beat medalist Danny Lewis. Push play on the flash-based player below to listen to my post match interviews with Morris and Traxel. Gabcast! Chris Morris and Drew Traxel #0
