Darius Miller is the Gatorade Player of the Year in Kentucky. The Gatorade Player of the Year program recognizes one award winner in each of the 50 states and the District of Columbia.
The state winners are selected not only for their athletic excellence, but also for their academic achievement and exceptional character. The selection process is adminsitered by RISE magazine. All state winners are automatically eligible for the Gatorade National Player of the Year Award. Miller is the second Mason County player to win the state award. Chris Lofton won it in 2004.
