Mason County Boys Freshmen Win 10th Region

The Mason County boys' freshmen team won the 10th Region Tournament. The Royals beat Deming 47-36 in the semifinal Wednesday night. Treg Setty led the way with 18 points and Jordan Gilbert scored 13 points. In the championship game last night, Neal Pawsat scored 19 points to lead Mason County past Campbell County 49-38. Setty and Gilbert scored 10 points a piece. It was Mason County's 20th consecutive win after opening the season with a loss at Lexington Catholic. In addition to winning the district and regional tournaments, Mason County won the Lexington Catholic and Covington Catholic tournaments.
