Stingrays Off to Fast Start

The Limestone Family YMCA Stingrays swim team opened the season last weekend in the Shelby Harvest Classic 2007 in Shelbyville. The local swimmers won several races.

• Nicholas Nelson in the boys' 8 and under age group won the 50 freestyle, the 25 backstroke, the 100 freestyle, the 25 freestyle, the 25 butterfly and the 50 backstroke;
• Maggie Ford in the girls' 9-10 age group won the 25 breaststroke, the 50 backstroke, the 50 freestyle, the 100 backstroke, and the 25 butterfly.
• Morgan Cyrus in the girls' 11-12 age group won the 100 freestyle, 50 breaststroke and 100 breaststroke;
• Kelsey Dillon in the girls' 11-12 age group won the 200 individual medley, 200 freestyle and the 50 butterfly;
• Amanda Miller in the girls' 15 and over age group won the 50 freestyle and 100 freestyle.
