It's the first time Lofton has appeared on an S.I. cover. Lofton is shown shooting over
Chris Douglas-Roberts of Memphis. Lofton is also on a regional cover of USA Today's college basketball preview. Here is a link to the story.
Update: This is not the first time Lofton has been on a Sports Illustrated cover. He was on the cover in a collage of college basketball players and coaches on an at least one issue leading up the NCAA Tournament. I should have written that it's the first time Lofton has been featured on an
S-I cover.
