Royals Lose 1-0 in Shootout

The Mason County Royals lost to the Grant County Braves 1-0 in a shootout in the opening game of the 23rd District boys' soccer tournament tonight at Grant County. The two teams were scoreless through regulation, two 10-minute overtime periods and two five-minute sudden-victory overtime periods. Mason County ends the season with a 4-10-2 record. Grant County advances to play St. Patrick in the semi-finals Thursday at 6 p.m.
