Royals Win Season Opener Over Paris 27-7





Junior tailback Jeremy Thompson rushed for 178 yards and three touchdowns to lead the Mason County Royals to a season opening 27-7 win over the Paris Greyhounds tonight the Joseph K. Ford Bluegrass Bowl at Lexington Catholic. Thompson was named the Most Valuable Player. Mason County led 13-0 in the second quarter. Paris did not have a first down until Tiion Thomas ran 45 yards for a touchdowns with 4:53 left in the first half. Richie Cox completed three of six passes for 66 yards. All three completions were to Jackson Tolle.
