Lady Vikings 17, Lady Royals 1

Beautiful day. Ugly game. The Mason County Lady Royals lost to the Rowan County Lady Vikings 17-1 in four innings today in fast-pitch softball at the Maysville-Mason County Recreation Park. Rowan County (24-7) scored six runs in the first inning, four in the second, three in third and four in the fourth. Mason County (9-9) scored its run in the third inning. Brittany Black led off the inning with a walk. Hilary Doyle and Whitley Sato hit back-to-back singles to load the bases. Black scored on Carly Case's groundout to first base. Even though Mason County has two more home games this week, Monday was Senior Day for the four seniors, Kacey Carver, Carly Case, Kasey Hale and Whitley Sato.
