Jerry Ormes is no longer the girls basketball coach at St. Patrick High School. Ormes says he was told by principal Mike Kirry this morning that the school needed to make some changes and wanted to go in a different direction.
In 10 seasons, Ormes had a record of 146-129. The Lady Saints won district titles in 2000 and 2002. Ormes says he thought he had a pretty good track record, and he was surprised by his dismissal.
Kirry was not available for comment.
