The Mason County Royals football team held its final spring practice Monday.
"We started with fundamental work offensively, and then went into inside drill versus both a50 and a 40," coach David Buchanan said in an e-mail message. "We then did our (kickoff) coverage and return drill to work on blocking and tackling in space."
"After defensive fundamentals, we have team defense period where we actually go 12 on 12. It is a great way to get an extra 2 guys some fundamental work. We finished with team offense. The last play of the day was a fake reverse pass from Jeremy Thompson to DanielReed for a TD. Spring is a great time to draw plays in the dirt at the end of practice and have a little fun with it."
The Blue-White Spring Game is Thursday at 4 p.m. at the practice field.
