Lady Royals Edge Lady Cards in Region

The Mason County Lady Royals rallied from a five point fourth quarter deficit to beat the Clark County Lady Cardinals 56-55 tonight in the first round of the Girls' 10th Region Tournament at
Montgomery County. Mason County broke a 7-7 with a 13-0 run in the first half and led 29-17 at halftime. Clark County outscored Mason County 26-13 in the third quarter. The Lady Cardinal were up 53-48 before the Lady Royals ended the game on an 8-2 run. Clark County played for the last shot but turned the ball over with just a few seconds left. De'Sarae Chambers led Mason County in scoring with 17 points. Kasey Litzinger and Lacey Cline added
11 points apiece. Eighth grader Preshia Rogers came off the bench to score 20 points for Clark County. Freshman Jewel Rogers scored 17. Mason County will play Bishop Brossart in the lower bracket semifinal Friday night. The Lady 'Stangs defeated Nicholas County 44-21 tonight.
