It's Mason Co. vs. Clark Co. in Boys Region 10 Final

The Mason County Royals and Clark County Cardinals will meet in the championship game of the Boys' 10th Region Tournament tomorrow at 3 p.m. at The Fieldhouse. In today's semifinals, Mason County beat Bishop Brossart 63-57 and Clark County edged Scott 53-52. The Royals led by eight at halftime and by 16 at 45-29 with 7:38 left in the game but Brossart cut it to 58-54 on Josh Kidney's fourth three-pointer of the fourth quarter with just over :30 seconds left. Tony Browning answered with a two-handed dunk, then the Royals' press forced a turnover and Darius Miller made a shot to make it 62-54. It was Mason County's third win over Brossart this season. Miller led all scorers with 26 points despite picking up two fouls in the first quarter. Russ Middleton scored 17 and Trevor Setty had 10. Troy Cooper led the Mustangs with 26 points. Kidney scored 19 including 17 in the fourth quarter. In the second game, eighth grader Robbie Stenzel made two free throws with 14 seconds left to give Clark County a 53-52 lead. Scott's Nathan Sharp missed a short shot in the lane as time ran out and Clark County avoided the upset. Clark County's top two players-Tristan Jones and Preston Knowles- both fouled out in the fourth quarter. Jones went out with 3:38 left and Knowles picked up his fifth foul with 39 seconds to go. Scott missed six free throws in the final quarter.
