Shotwell Wraps Up Wrestling Season

Korey Shotwell of Maysville went 1-1 in the consolation rounds of the state wrestling tournament Friday. Shotwell, a freshman at Campbell County High School, defeated Perry County Central senior Charles Turner by fall in round two of the consolation bracket in the 130 pound class. Shotwell lost a 6-4 decision to Lafayette senior Nathan Speck in round three. Shotwell went 2-2 in the state tournament and finished the season with a record of 54-4. Campbell County finished 16th in the team standings in the state tournament.
