Mason County 82, Lafayette 62

The Mason County Royals defeated the Lafayette Generals 82-62 tonight in Lexington for their ninth straight win.

  • Trevor Setty matched his career-high with 27 points (eight of nine from the field, six of six on three-pointers and five of five from the free throw line) and Nathan Stahl scored a career-high 16 points (eight of nine from the field).
  • The Royals shot 64% from the field. They hit 15 of 18 shots inside the arc in the first half.
  • Mason County had its biggest lead at 60-36 with 2:55 left in the third quarter. Lafayette went on a 16-2 run to cut the lead to 10 at 62-52 left in the game.
  • The Royals responded with nine straight points. Coach Chris O'Hearn moved into fifth place on the Royals' all-time coaching win list with 69. That's one more than Mason County's first coach William "Teence" Ryan had in three seasons.
