Mason County 87, West Union 65

Trevor Settty hit seven three-pointers and scored a career-high 27 points to lead the Mason County Royals to an 87-65 win over the West Union Dragons tonight at The Fieldhouse. Mason County led 35-28 at halftime and outscored West Union 21-12 in the third quarter and 31-25 in the fourth quarter. Mason County made 13 three-pointers. The Royals' superior depth seemed to be a big factor in the second half. Russ Middleton scored 22 points. Darius Miller scored 19 points and had 14 rebounds. Tyreese Scott scored 14 points. West Union was led by senior point guard Jordan Cox with 20 points. Eric Richmond scored 16 points and Jeremy Bennington had 15 points and 13 rebounds. Mason County (8-0) plays December 27th at 6:30 p.m. in the Fifth Third Bank Classic at Lexington Catholic.
The Royals received a bye and will play the winner of the Louisville Central-Russell game. West Union (2-2) plays at Lynchburg-Clay Friday night.
