The KHSAA State Cross Country Championships will be held Saturday at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington. Gates open at 8 a.m. Admission is $6. Children age six and under will be admitted free. Here is the schedule:
9:30 a.m. - Class A Boys
10:15 a.m.- Class A Girls
11:30 a.m.- Class AA Boys
12:15 p.m.- Class AA Girls
1:30 p.m.- Class AAA Boys
2:15 p.m.- Class AAA Girls
The Mason County Lady Royals qualified for the Girls Class AA race. They will start from lane 7. Team members include: sophomores Blaine Menke and Rachel White, 8th graders Iretta Carpenter, Samantha Grayson and Alexi Loving, and 7th graders Chelsi Comberger, Valerie Rice and Jessica Shotwell.
Mason County senior Travis Scaggs and Mason County freshman Jim Myers are individual qualifiers in the Boys Class AA state meet. Scaggs and Myers will both start from lane 30.
St. Patrick senior Stephen Cropper, an individual qualifier in the Boys Class A meet, will start from lane 28.
