The Kentucky High School Athletic Association will survey schools again this year to see if they want to implement a shot clock for basketball.
Commissioner Julian Tackett told the Board of Control on Thursday that 28 states have a shot clock, and this is the year for the survey in Kentucky.
Tackett said several members of the coaches' association "are a little more vocal in support (of the shot clock).
The commissioner said the KHSAA would conduct the survey after the November Board of Control meeting.
Tackett added that a decision on who the survey will go to would have to made at the November meeting, "because for the first time, you might get a pretty good difference if you surveyed the coaches versus if you survey the (athletic directors).
2021 was the last time the KHSAA conducted a shot clock survey.
