The Mason County Royals picked up their second tournament win of the season with a team score of 15-over 303 at the Mason County Open at Laurel Oaks Golf Course Monday.
Rainy and stormy weather made for a long day. The teams had to play in heavy rain at times and wait out a two-hour delay.
Jake Feldhaus led Mason County with a 74. Quin Grooms followed with a 75. Noah Gardner carded a 76 and Cole Owens added a 78 to round out the team score. Ryan Skaggs shot an 82.
The Royals will play in the Trinity Invitational at Oxmoor Country Club in Louisville Tuesday.
After a two hour rain delay and playing in a monsoon for a couple holes, we finally got the tournament completed.
