Defending champion Logan Liles and four other past winners are in the championship flight of the 88th Chippeways golf tournament which begins Friday and runs through Sunday.
The other former champions of the match play event are six-time winner Eric Schumacher (1995, 1996, 2007, 2013, 2016 and 2019), Drew Traxel (2009 and 2014), Bill O'Mara (2006) and Corey Richmond (2021).
First round matches will be played Friday, the quarterfinals Saturday and the semifinals and finals Sunday.
Golfers who lose in their first round matches are placed into consolation flights.
