Royals 3rd, Lady Royals 4th at Rowan County Invitational

With a short-handed roster because of the prom, the Mason County Royals took third place and the Lady Royals finished in fourth place at the Rowan County Invitational Saturday.

First place finishes by Mason County athletes include:

• CJ Arthur, boys' 100 meter dash (11.39) and boys' 200 meter dash (23.53)
• Kolby Galloway, girls' 800 meter run (2:40.47)
• Lexi Young, girls' 200 meter dash (26.55) and girls' high jump (5-4)
• Max Arrasmith, boys' high jump (5-10)
• The girls' 4x100 meter relay team (52.11)

The Area 7 Championships Friday will be held Friday at the Mason County track. The event will be hosted by Augusta and Bracken County.
