The Mason County Royals are one of only 10 Kentucky high school football teams to go undefeated during the regular season.
Four of the 10-0 teams are in Class AAA: Mason County, Christian Academy-Louisville, Bardstown and Union County.
The other six teams are Mayfield and Metcalfe County in Class A, Corbin and Warren East in Class AAAA, and Frederick Douglass and Southwestern in Class AAAAA.
Mason County hosts Rockcastle County in the first round of the Class AAA playoffs Friday night. Rockcastle County is 4-6.
