The Mason County boys' golf team's season came to end today with a fourth place finish in the Leachman Buick-GMC-Cadillac/KHSAA State Golf First Round, but freshman Jake Feldhaus qualified for the state finals as an individual.
Mason County had a team score of 32-over 320 at Winchester County Club.
The top three teams from each of the first round sites advance to the state finals in Bowling Green.
Pulaski County (301), Madison Central (305) and Lexington Christian (310) advanced from Site 3 in Winchester.
Feldhaus shot a 4-over 76 to finish T11. Noah Gardner shot an 80, Trey Cracraft an 81, Grant Owens an 83 and Quin Grooms a 94. The top four scores are used for the team score.
The Leachman-Buick-GMC-Cadillac/KHSAA State Finals will be held October 4-5 at Bowling Green Country Club. The practice round is on October 3.
