The Mason County Royals and Lady Royals both finished in third place in the Kentucky 2A Championships state golf tournaments today at Owensboro Country Club.
The Royals shot a 313. Taylor County won the boys' tournament with a team score of 299. Christian Academy of Louisville was the runner-up at 309.
The Lady Royals had a team score of 388. Franklin County won the girls' tournament with a 364 total. Marion County was the runner-up at 379.
Macey Littleton shot an 81 to finish fourth in the girls' tournament.
Grant Owens shot a 74 to take seventh place in the boys' tournament.
