Mason County girls 3rd, boys 4th in Mason County indoor track and field meet #1

The Mason County girls finished third and the Mason County boys took fourth place in Mason County indoor track and field meet #1 on Saturday.

Rockcastle County won the girls' meet and St. Henry won the boys' meet.

First place finishes by area athletes include:

• The Mason County girls' 4x800 meter relay team.

• The Mason County biys' 4x800 meter relay team.

• Bracken County senior Kaleb Darnell in the boys' long jump and the boys' triple jump.

• West Union sophomore Jonathon MacDowell in the boys' 800 meter run and the boys' pentathlon.
