Local sports notes

Here are a few local sports notes:

• Mason County senior Alex Schalch scored his 2,000th career point in the Royals' loss to Fleming County last Friday night.

• Fifty-one fouls were called in last night's Lewis County at St. Patrick girls' game. The two teams combined to shoot 69 free throws. Lewis County made 30-of-42 while St. Patrick hit 14-of-27. Lewis County won the game by the score of 71-48.

• Mason County senior Spencer Magee will sign to play golf and continue his education at Thomas More University on February 25th at 3:30 p.m. in the MCHS library.

• A reminder, registration for T-Ball, Cal Ripken Baseball and Babe Ruth Softball is online only and ends February 24th. There will be no late registration. To register, go to www.waldparkbaseball.com
