32 seasons of Mason County vs. Lewis County

The Mason County Royals travel to Vanceburg Friday night to play the Lewis County Lions in a district football game.

Mason County has a 25-8 lead in the series which began in the Royals' first varsity season in 1979. The two schools did not play each other in 1997, 1998, 2003 through 2006 and 2015 and 2016.

Lewis County snapped a four-game losing streak in the series with a 36-18 victory last season.
