Lady Royals pull away in 2nd half for a 58-23 victory over Paris

After leading by just four points at the end of the first quarter, the Mason County Lady Royals outscored the Paris Lady Hounds 15-5 in the second quarter and 28-7 in the second half to open the season with a 58-23 victory tonight at the Lady Royals Gym.

Paris only had one field goal in the second half and was just 6-of-36 (16.1 percent) from the field for the game.

Mason County shot 44.2 percent from the field and made 5-of-11 (45.5 percent) three-pointers. 

Victoria Brooks had a game-high 14 points for the Lady Royals.

Sam Schumacher followed with 13 points and Lexi Thompson added 11 points.

Mason County plays at East Carter Friday night.
