Rachel Payne with back-to-back four-goal games

Mason County sophomore Rachel Payne has scored four goals in each of the Lady Royals' last two games- a 4-3 win over West Union Monday night and an 8-3 victory over Greenup County Tuesday night.

Payne scored two goals in the Lady Royals' 5-3 win over Ripley on Saturday. She has scored a total of  13 goals in Mason County's seven games.

"Rachel is a force to be reckoned with," Mason County coach Amy Cottam said. "She's very good at distributing as well, but I'm really happy to see her finding the back of the net this year."

Maddie McDowell and Ashley Taylor each scored two goals Tuesday night at Greenup County.

Five different Lady Royals had assists in that game- Taylor and Ashleigh Spencer with two apiece,
and McDowell, Sydney Bramel and Emily Brophy each with one.

Mason County is halfway through a streak of six straight road games. The Lady Royals play at Calvery Christian Tuesday, at Campbell County on September 10th and at Paris on September 13th.

The Lady Royals' next home game is September 20th versus Ripley.
