Lady Royals runners-up, Kindt, Scilley and girls 4x800 are state champions

The Mason County Lady Royals are the Class AA indoor track and field state runners-up for the fourth straight year.

Rockcastle County won the Class AA girls meet Saturday at the Carmeuse/Mason County Schools Indoor Athletic Complex with 139 points. Mason County had 92 points.

Mason County senior Dalton Kindt is the state champion in the shot put for the second straight year. He won with a toss of 50-09.50.

Mason County senior Marissa Scilley is the state champion in the long jump (15-09.75). She broke her own school record. Scilley is the runner-up in the triple jump (33.03.75).

The Mason County girls 4x800 meter relay team of Alyssa Bisotti, Hadley Faris, Hayden Faris and Paige Decker won the state championship with a time of 10:55.02.

Mason County junior Olivia O'Hearn tied the school record in the pole vault (9-00.00) and is the state runner-up.

Mason County junior Abigail Dawson is the runner-up in the 400 meter dash (1:07.73).

The Mason County girls 4x400 meter relay team of Abigail Dawson, Hadley Faris, Tea King and Olivia O'Hearn had a runner-up finish with a time of 4.33.42.

The Mason County boys 4x800 meter team of Zach Walters, Connor Linville, Isaiah Riggs and Nicholas Drury is the runner-up with a time of 9:45.55.

Fleming County senior Robert Applegate is the Class AA state champion in the 3000 meter run (10:23.17) and the runner-up in the 1600 meter run (4:56.24).

Bracken County junior Jared Jefferson is the Class A state champion in the 3000 meter run (9:36.06)
