College recruiters are finding their way to MCHS

College football recruiters are allowed to visit high schools this time of the year, and coaches from Western Kentucky University and Purdue stopped by Mason County High School this week. Illinois plans to be in town next Wednesday. Purdue assistant coach Shawn Clark, who recruited Mason County players when he was at Eastern Kentucky University, stopped by today to talk to quarterback Neal Pawsat. Mason County Coach David Buchanan says the coaches normally spend 15-20 minutes at the school. He says it's an exciting time of the year. There have not been any scholarship offers so far.
