Blakefield qualifies for Nationwide event

Mark Blakefield has qualified for the South Georgia Classic on the Nationwide Tour. Blakefield fired a six-under par 66 in Monday's qualifier at Doublegate Country Club in Albany, Ga.. The South Georgia Classic begins Thurday at Kinderlou Forest Golf Club in Valdosta, Ga. It will be Blakefield's second Nationwide Tour event. He played in the Rex Hospital Open in Raleigh, N.C. in 2008. Blakefield has one win this year on the NGA Hooters Tour and is fifth on the Hooters money list.
