The Mason County Lady Royals finished second and the Royals took fourth place in the opening meet of the season- the Fairview Invitational Saturday. Mason County freshman Julia Woods finished 2nd in a time of 21:20.40. Raylee Kirkland (8th) and Sara Bellingham (13th) also medalled for Mason County. The Lady Royals were without their top runner, Valerie Rice, who is out indefinitely with a knee injury. Two Royals medalled- Jim Myers (8th) and Nathan Woods (15th). Cara Woods was fourth in the girls' middle school race, and Tanner Kirkland was sixth in the boys' middle school race. Here are links to the results:
