Mason, Barner and Hamilton to play in Gene Lowe Junior All-Star Game

Stephen Mason of St. Patrick, Phil Barner of Mason County and Dylan Hamilton of Bracken County have been selected to play in the 7th Annual Gene Lowe Junior All-Star Game. Former Maysville and Fleming County Coach Bob Hall will be an honorary coach. Here is a press release on the game:

The Gene Lowe Junior All-Star game will be held on Sunday April 26, 2009 on the beautiful campus of Berea College. This all-star game will feature the top juniors (seniors-to-be) of your respective regions. We will be combining the top 6 juniors from the 10th and 12th Regions to make up the visiting team and the top 6 juniors from the 11th and 13th to make up the home team.
The game will tip off at 2:00 in the Seabury Center. College coaches have been notified of the event and will be in attendance. Admission price will be $3.00 per person. There will be a 3-point shooting contest along with a dunk contest during halftime of the game.
This year’s game will mark the 7th Annual Gene Lowe Junior All-Star game. This event first began in 2003 in memory of Gene Lowe, owner/operator of Lowe’s Sporting Goods in London-Corbin. During his career, he was known for giving back to the community. In honor of his legacy, the family has continued through the All-Star game in promoting the student-athletes of Kentucky.
