Royals use a 26-6 run and defense to beat the Defenders 60-41

The Mason County Royals broke open a close game with a 26-6 run to beat the Bryan Station Defenders 60-41 tonight in Lexington. Bryan Station was averaging 71 points a game, but the Royals' defense forced the Defenders into just 29.7% shooting from the field. Mason County was leading 28-25 in the third quarter. The Royals ended the quarter on a 16-2 run and opened the fourth quarter with a 10-4 run to lead 54-31 with 3:32 left. Treg Setty led Mason County with a double-double, 18 points and 10 rebounds. Neal Pawsat scored 12 points. Russ Middleton and Jordan Gilbert added 11 points apiece. The Royals close out the regular season at home Saturday night against the Montgomery County Indians.
