The St. Patrick Saints defeated the Bracken County Polar Bears 72-59 tonight to advance to the semifinals of the All "A" 10th Region Tournament. After trailing by 13 after three quarters, Bracken County opened the final quarter on a 14-6 run to get to within five at 54-49. But St. Patrick was able to pull away again for its third win over Bracken County this season.
St. Patrick will play Calvary Christian in the lower bracket semifinal game Friday at 8 p.m. at Nicholas County. Calvery Christian defeated Nicholas County 60-44 tonight. St. Patrick beat Calvary Christian 72-62 on Jan. 13.
