Middle School Football Skills Camp

Here is the press release from Mason County football Coach David Buchanan:

The Mason County High School football staff will be hosting a series of skills camps at the high school football field. Each camp will begin at 3:45 pm and go until 5:45 pm. In case of cold/wet weather, the camp will be held inside using the locker rooms and weight rooms. The dates are as follows:

Wide Receivers and Defensive Backs- February 9,10, & 12
Offensive and Defensive lineman- Feb 16, 17, & 19
Linebackers and Running Backs- March 2,3, & 5

This will be for grades 7 & 8. Offensive coordinator and WR coach Chris Ullery will lead the WR/DB camp. Former Royal lineman and current high school football coach Jonathan Thomas will be in charge of the lineman camp. Defensive coordinator and RB coach Larry Harris wll be in charge of the LB/RB camp.
This camp will give middle school football players the opportunity to work with the high school coaches that coach their position, or a position they are interested in. Players can attend all three clinics.
Before the camp begins, the high school staff will go to the middle school to meet with players interested in attending camp. If you have questions, you can contact the the following:

We have never done this before. We think this will give more players more instruction more effectively. We are also excited about using this camp to help our high school coaches begin to build relationships with the young athletes in our program and school. Please make the most of this opportunity.
