Locals hoop it up on the college courts

Here is how the local college players did Saturday:
  • Darius Miller did not score, but he played a very solid game as Kentucky pulled out a 61-51 road win over Alabama. Miller had seven rebounds, two assists, three blocks and two steals. He played the entire second half after Ramon Harris collapsed at halftime;
  • Mikah Turner scored 17 points, but Berea College lost to Indiana University-East 78-75 in overtime. Turner also had five rebounds, two assists and one steal;
  • Chris Owens had six points and four rebounds to help Transylvania beat Manchester 69-55;
  • De"Sarae Chambers scored one point and had four rebounds and one steal in Dayton's 60-57 loss to Charlotte.
