Royals get 38-14 road win over Fleming County

The Mason County Royals scored 38 straight points in a 38-14 victory over the Fleming County Panthers tonight in Flemingsburg. Fleming County scored on its opening drive to take a 6-0 lead but didn't score again until 13 seconds were left in the game. Mason County quarterback Neal Pawsat completed 9 of 13 passes for 136 yards and three touchdowns. Jeremy Thompson rushed for 190 yards and a touchdown. Thompson also caught a touchdown pass. Westin Stahl had a touchdown reception and had an interception on defense for the third straight game. Mason County had 430 total yards (294 rushing and 136 passing). Fleming County had 292 yards (123 rushing and 169 passing). Mason County (7-2) hosts Greenup County on Senior Night next week. Here is the scoring summary:

  • With the win, Mason County evened the series with Fleming County at 16-16;
  • Jeremy Thompson has rushed for 1,102 yards and 22 touchdowns this season;
  • Thompson's TD reception tonight was the first of his career.
