Mason County plays at West Carter tonight
The Mason County Royals travel to Olive Hill tonight to play the West Carter Comets in their third straight district game. Mason County is 3-1 overall and 2-0 in district play. The Royals beat East Carter 42-13 last week. West Carter is coming off a 20-14 win over Lewis County after opening the season with three straight losses. In the latest Class 3A statistics, Mason County is second in scoring defense, third in scoring margin, third in passing defense, seventh in scoring, seventh in passing, 10th in rushing and 12th in rushing defense. Mason County leads the series with West Carter 16-4. The Royals have won nine straight games against the Comets including two games last season (62-14 in the regular season and 57-6 in the first round of the playoffs). West Carter's last win over Mason County was in 1995. Kickoff is at 7:30.
