Pendleton County boys' basketball coach Chad Simms returned last week from his second mission trip to Romania. Simms, a 1997 graduate of Mason County High School, took part in Hoops for Hope for the second straight year. The mission trip is organized by South Laurel boys' basketball coach Steve Wright. The coaches conduct a basketball clinic for children in Romanian villages. A worship service is held each night. Simms says the mission" is to win people to Christ."
