Chris Morris won the Northern Kentucky Amateur Championship at Triple Crown Country Club in Union last week. He had a two-round total of 3-under par 141 and won by seven shots. Morris shot a 76 on the first day of the tournament. He had to survive two days of match play to advance to the final two rounds of medal play. Morris defeated Nick Heineke 3 and 2 and Matt Bowlin 5 and 4. Morris, a sophomore-to-be at Centre College won the Chippeways at the Maysville Country Club last month.
