The 39th District baseball and fast-pitch softball tournaments begin today. In the baseball tournament at Bracken County, the St. Patrick Saints play the Augusta Panthers at 5:30, followed by the Mason County Royals against the Bracken County Polar Bears at 7:30.
In the softball tournament, hosted by St. Patrick at the Maysville-Mason County Recreation Park, it's the Mason County Lady Royals vs. the St. Patrick Lady Saints at 5:30. The games will be on WFTM AM 1240. We'll start with the play-by-play of the softball game with updates from the baseball game, and then join the baseball game in progress when the softball game ends.
