Royals Roll Past Paducah Tilghman 73-46


The Mason County Royals jumped out to a 10-0 lead and ran past the Paducah Tilghman Blue Tornado 73-46 tonight in the quarterfinals of the National City/KHSAA Boys' Sweet 16.
Mason County hit six three-pointers in the first quarter. The Royals led by 39 points (58-19) in the third quarter. Darius Miller celebrated his 18th birthday with a 17 point game. Russ Middleton and Ethan King each scored 12 points. Middleton was 4-of-4 from three-point range. Trevor Setty made three three-pointers and scored 11 points. Mason County will play Shelby County in the semi-finals Saturday at 11:30 a.m. Shelby County defeated Hazard 53-50. Lexington Catholic and Holmes meet in the first semi-final. Lexington Catholic beat Owensboro 54-47 and Holmes defeated Paintsville 61-53. Here are the statistics on the Mason County-Paducah Tilghman game.
