Lofton Scores 20 as UT Advances to Sweet 16

Chris Lofton scored 20 points to lead the Tennessee Volunteers to a 77-74 win over the Virginia Cavaliers today in the NCAA Tournament. Tennessee advances to the Sweet 16 to play the Ohio State Buckeyes. Lofton was just four of 16 from the field, but he he made nine of 10 free throws including six of six down the stretch.
Here's what Virgina coach Dave Leitao said about Lofton in the postgame press conference: "You know what, he's a great player. He's not a great player because he's a shooter, he's a great player because he's a player. They make plays at the most important time for their team and I'm sure everybody on their side felt very, very comfortable when he went to the line and knocked those shots down."
