Mason County Has Had Three State Golf Champs

Mason County senior Chris Morris will be playing in the Leachman Buick & GMC/KHSAA Boys State Golf Tournament Friday and Saturday in Bowling Green. Mason County has had three state champions in boys golf. Mike Faurest was the individual state champion in 1964, the Royals won the team title in 1967 and Jim Striplin was the individual state champion in 1972.
