Cincinnati quarterback Dustin Grutza rushed for a career-high 72 yards and threw for 230 yards and one touchdown as the Bearcats beat Akron 20-14 today. Grutza was UC's leading rusher in the game. His longest run was 24 yards. Grutza completed 16 of 24 passes. He threw a 26 yard touchdown pass to Brent Celek in the 2nd quarter. Grutza's longest completion of the game was 34 yards. He threw one interception.
The Bearcats have won two in a row. They play at Louisville Saturday.
