A Change in Crowning District Champs in Football

This is the final week of the regular season in Kentucky high school football but the district champions won't be determined for another two weeks. With the change this year in the playoff format to have the first two rounds played within the district, the winners of the second round games will be crowned district champions. That means a team can go undefeated in regular season play but not be the district champion unless it wins the first two games in the playoffs. The change gives the two through four seeds in the district a shot at the district title.
