Homecoming at Mason County

The Mason County Royals host Frankfort on Homecoming tonight. Both teams are 3-1. The Royals have won three straight games since losing to Lafayette in the season opener. Frankfort won its first three games before losing to arch rival Franklin County 40-20 last week. Frankfort averages 42.3 points per game. The Panthers have a Division I prospect-- senior tight end/defensive end Josh Smith (6-4 250). They also have a lot of speed. Mason County beat Frankfort 21-14 last season. The tailgate party, sponsored this week by the Bank of Maysville, is from 5:15 to 6:45 p.m. The menu includes pork BBQ, macaroni and cheese, cole slaw, drink and dessert. Adults $5, children $3.
